Congratulations to all Americans on a hard fought presidential campaign. It was certainly not dull!

Check out the new Music Review (click on Musical Artist of the Month). It’s extra special. JCHS Senior, Jane Kallal, is our guest reviewer. If you don’t own any Gordon Lightfoot, you will want to after reading Jane’s review. We will have a new Student Interview and Picture of the Month up soon.

Welcome to my world. It’s a world of political hijinx, historical madness, and things that can’t be categorized quite so easily. This site is for my students—from both Jersey Community High School and Lewis and Clark Community College, both past and present. It gives my AP U.S. History heroes a place to escape to on those late Thursday nights as they try to predict what subject Friday’s essay will cover. My American Government students can use the site to access their congressional representatives, or to research which American presidents owned golden retrievers.

My LCCC students can check out the syllabus or surf the Guestbook to see what today’s teenagers are up to. They could be chatting about Paris Hilton, or Paris, France; you just never know. If you would like an in-depth look at the typical JCHS student (like there is such a thing), then the Student Interview should fit the bill. The Picture of the Month is always worth checking out. And if you would like to know what makes Mr. Gracey’s mind reel or toe tap, read all about his Book & Musical Artist of the Month. The Subject Related Links will provide a plethora of supplementary possibilities for all of my students, no matter what your subject. Class pictures will be posted on the Class Pictures link (go figure), and G’s students are known for being the most distinguished looking bunch in the greater metropolitan Jerseyville area. For some, the Stress Relievers link is a key part of their existence–providing all of the PONG and TETRIS that you can stand, free of charge (I know, hard to believe).

So enjoy the site at your leisure. Make sure that you sign-in on the guestbook, and leave some clever comment (or not). Please keep all comments clean, positive, and appropriate. And please, no wagering (if you don’t get that comment, then you are not one of Mr. Gracey’s students). Feel free to e-mail us with requests or suggestions. We will do our best to oblige.
